HiLASE Principles

One of our corporate culture principles is to engage and listen to people.

That’s why 4 times a year we work with internal employee surveys on various topics and every spring we hold an HR Event called Let’s ASK, where all colleagues have the opportunity to ask management anything they are interested in or need to know.

Another principle is a vibrant company culture.

Our intention is to create an environment where most employees can be happy and engaged. This is a never-ending living project dealing with the overall attitude to work, behaviour and relationships within HiLASE. We learn every day – from each other, from new situations and from mistakes. And it is in the moments when problems and obstacles arise that its real strength is shown – if we stick together, speak openly and know how to pull together. That’s when it becomes clear that culture is not about pretty words on the web, but about day-to-day functioning and mutual trust.

All of this ties in with another principle, and that is humanity.

We help each other when we need to. And even when we disagree, we still see the other person and respect them. Don’t be surprised if someone greets you multiple times in a day, it happens to us all the time and we would be sorry if it was the other way around. We have all been high-fiving each other from the very first days, including all the leaders, even the top one. We report when someone leaves their car lights on or bring gifts from the garden or culinary creations for others to taste. And when a visitor arrives, whoever has spare hands makes the coffee – the rest hold the door for you and let you in front of them in line at the coffee machine 😊
