“Do you have a dress code? Can I see it?” – No, we don’t!

All of us at HiLASE are sensible and smart people, so we know how to dress appropriately for the situation. Feel free to wear slippers in the office, but have real shoes ready for a meeting with strategic partners. 

How do we work?  

Each person is responsible for a specific part of the work; some working groups are organised by a single person, and we do not have assistants. Our organisational structure is clear and functional. We are led by Head of the Centre, with four main departments under him, each with its own Head of Department.

Within our four departments, there are then smaller teams focused on specific areas, led by Team Leaders (our middle management). Sometimes we work on multiple projects at the same time, so we have notional project teams across the Centre. Each department lives a slightly different life. We are aware of our differences, but we also have a lot in common; we are one organisation after all.
